RED wins at Digital Alberta
As we mentioned a few weeks ago, RED The Agency was nominated in several categories at the upcoming Digital Alberta Awards. We are elated to report that RED indeed claimed the top spot in two categories this past weekend. Our work with EPCOR and the Blue Bucket Crew Campaign won Best in Social Media and Best Digital Design. Congrats team!
RED a Finalist at Digital Alberta Awards
Digital Alberta, an industry-led organization devoted to promoting and connecting Alberta’s thriving digital community, have announced the finalists for the 2011 Digital Alberta Awards. RED has been nominated for both Best in Social Media and Best Digital Design for the EPCOR Blue Bucket Crew and Digital Aquarium Project.
We eagerly anticipate the results which will come June 6th at the 2011 Digital Alberta Award Show. We’ll be sure to update this post once the dust settles.

RED capped off a busy spring with some exciting news. It started at the 32nd Annual ACE Awards where RED won an ACE Award for EPCOR’s water conservation website, and five Awards of Distinction. We were also incredibly proud to be involved with Darren Jacknisky’s award-winning self-promotion piece ‘In Good Time’.
A few weeks later more good news arrived in the mail – RED’s work for Alberta Municipal Affairs had won Best of Show honours at the 2011 Summit Awards. The ‘Singing Smoke Alarms’ spot was selected from hundreds of entries across 50 countries. RED’s radio spot for Alberta Justice and its non-traditional t-shirt stunt for Goodwill Industries were also awarded Bronze Awards.

Slipping on our jeans and jerseys

RED is proud to announce its support for the Alberta Diabetes Foundation’s Jeans and Jerseys event alongside our client and presenting sponsor, Canadian Western Bank.
Alberta Diabetes Foundation, the organization behind Jeans and Jerseys, is a not for profit, charitable organization committed to the search for a cure for diabetes. ADF has been in operation since 1988 and was founded by a group of volunteers whose lives were affected by diabetes. ADF has raised millions of dollars in support of diabetes research.
RED is honoured to continue its support for the fourth year in a row.

Almost all of us will be a driver, passenger or pedestrian at some point today. When you think about it, traffic safety is one of the most important issues affecting Albertans. For this reason, RED is proud to announce that we have been selected as the Agency of Record for the Government of Alberta’s Traffic Safety Initiative.
We look forward to working closely with Traffic Safety to help make a positive impact on driver behavior and create safer communities across Alberta. Our passion for social marketing and our consumer-inspired approach will be the building blocks for our work going forward. We can’t wait to get started!

EPCOR Brand Video selected for 2011 Applied Arts Annual
Applied Arts Awards are one of the industry’s more prestigious recognitions of creative excellence in Canada. It represents some of the very best work produced in North America and abroad over the past year.
With circulation of 46,000, the AA Annuals attract thousands of entries from the very best companies in the industry. Its winners gallery alone attracts 300,000 + visitors each year, and being selected is a huge honour for both RED and EPCOR.
Congratulations in particular to RED’s Nigel Hood for his colourful illustrations, and Hans Dys and Global Mechanic for their meticulous production work.
The publication hits stands May 2011.
